Site clearance, then the removal and rebuilding of failing brick piers to match the existing mews brickwork.

Scope of works

  • Clear the working area of loose debris, vegetation, rubble and redundant materials.
  • Carefully remove the existing temporary support props and associated obstructions as required.
  • Carefully dismantle and remove the existing deteriorated/damaged brick piers, taking care to avoid damage to the adjoining boundary walls and surrounding structures.
  • Remove all arisings from site and leave the area clean and suitable for the rebuilding works.
  • Prepare suitable foundations and bases for the new piers where required.
  • Construct new brick piers to match the existing surrounding brickwork, including matching the brick type, colour, bond, coursing and mortar finish as closely as practicable.
  • Ensure the new piers are correctly aligned, level, plumb and suitably bonded into the existing walling.
  • Reinstate any affected sections of wall and make good adjoining areas.
  • Complete the works with appropriate pointing and finishing to provide a consistent appearance with the existing structure.
  • Remove all surplus materials and waste on completion and leave the site clean and tidy.

Outcome
