Carlos Place, Mayfair

Residential

Basement floor clearance, new drainage, lowering of existing levels and removal of spoil in a restricted Mayfair lower ground floor.

Carlos Place – Lower Ground Floor Drainage Works

Working within the challenging confines of a lower ground floor at Carlos Place, our team was tasked with installing new drainage infrastructure in an area where access, excavation and spoil removal presented significant logistical challenges.

The works involved setting out and marking the proposed drainage runs, carefully cutting and excavating the existing floor, and removing the excavated material to prepare for the new installation. Our team then installed the drainage pipework and chamber, ensuring the new system was constructed to the required levels and alignment.

Due to the restricted nature of the site, removing spoil presented an additional challenge. To overcome this, we utilised our in-house Wait & Load service, allowing spoil to be loaded directly into vehicles as excavation progressed. This avoided the need for on-site spoil storage and helped keep the confined working area clear, safe and productive.

A challenging site, delivered efficiently

This project demonstrates our ability to undertake specialist drainage and excavation works in restricted-access locations, combining experienced site teams with our own spoil removal capability to keep projects moving efficiently from excavation through to installation.
